University of Montpellier
The University of Montpellier is the coordinator of the Apollo 2028 project. In terms of research, they will contribute to the organizational aspects of resilience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.
University of Montpellier (UM) is the 6th largest multidisciplinary Research University in France. UM is one of the most attractive universities in France with more than 6,500 international students (1 out of 6 students and half of the 1,800 PhD students come from abroad) and 9 international laboratories. In 2018 and 2019, UM ranked first in Reuters Ranking (World top 100) as the most innovative French university. UM is the leader of the Montpellier University of Excellence (MUSE) and ISITE project putting the University at the forefront of Education, Research and Innovation in Agronomy, Health and Environment in France. UM is ranked in the Shanghai Academic Ranking.
Bocconi University
Bocconi University will lead the research on the team/group level of resilience.
Bocconi University (UB) was established in 1902. UB is a university of international standing in business, economics, and law. Its research projects are funded by national and international organisations. SDA Bocconi is the School of Management of Universita’ Bocconi and has been creating and sharing knowledge since 1971. SDA Bocconi is the top School of Management in Italy and one of the highest-ranking in the world (i.e., 4th EuropeanB-School in 2022 according to the Financial Times, 5th European B-School according to Bloomberg Business week). Moreover, it is one of the few business schools in the world to hold the “triple crown” accreditation awarded by three of the most prestigious school accreditation associations worldwide AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. The School’s commitment to research and education has enabled it, over the years, to contribute significantly to the development of many industries both in Italy and abroad. On this backdrop, the Centre for Research in Healthcare and Social Management (CeRGAS) stands as a pioneer in conducting basic and applied research in health and social care recognised through awards, grants and multi-year funding programmes. CeRGAS research fellows use the modern tools of management, economics, accounting, organizational research and policy analysis to better understand how welfare systems work at the micro and macro levels, and how to improve them through innovative and evidence-based solutions. Across our research areas, we conduct approximately 50 research projects annually. We aim to be policy-relevant and to produce highly valuable research for decision makers. In this regard, CERGAS continuously interacts with regional, national and international health authorities and has developed an integrated system of thematic observatories to provide reliable, context- specific evidence on NHS organizations, health policy, management and technological innovation.
Kaunas University of Technology
Kaunas University of Technology will be responsible for research on organizational factors affecting physical and mental health and resilience.
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is a leading Lithuanian university providing a wide range of studies and research and closely cooperating with business. KTU currently has near 8000 students and near 2000 academic employees enrolled across 9 faculties and 8 research institutes. By increasing the number of international experts participating in KTU's priority fields of study and research, KTU also ensures favorable conditions for international cooperation in the implementation of study and research projects. In 2022 KTU has participated successfully in 251 R&D&I projects financed by the European Union and national research programs. KTU was the leading university in the participation in H2020 competitive research grants in Lithuania. The University is in cooperation with more than 350 research and academic institutions in 51 countries of the world as well as the representatives of international business enterprises. KTU participated in 43 COST actions in 2022. KTU produced near 600 scientific publications with impact factor indexed in Clarivate Analytics Web of Science or Elsevier Scopus databases and scientific journals within 2022. One of KTU’s key priorities is to maintain a synergy with local businesses and this confirm 40 new signed cooperation agreements with business entities, 7 new established start-ups, 17 international and 10 national patent applications submitted and 12 Lithuanian patents and 2 foreign patents (1 from the USA and 1 from Europe) for inventions were received on behalf of the University in 2021. KTU information system APCIS, operated by the Open Access Center (OAC), includes more than 1200 services provided by over 1400 KTU researchers and can be used by business entities and public organizations. KTU is a member of such influential international organizations and associations as EUA, CESAER, ECIU and 10 more. KTU, being a part of ECIU University, contributes to the development of the idea to create a completely new educational model on a European scale.
Karolinska Institute
The Karolinska Institute will be one of our hospitals for field studies and will also involve their researchers in individual and organizational resilience studies. They will also contribute to the training program development for middle-level managers.
Karolinska Institute (KI) will participate through the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics and the Department of Womens and Childrens Health. The Karolinska University Hospital will participate through Astrid Lindgrens Childrens Hospital. Karolinska University Hospital ranks # 9 in Newsweek's survey "World's Best Smart Hospitals 2023" for the second year. Karolinska University Hospital is one of the largest University Hospitals in Europe with 15,000 employees and 1.8 million patient visits. Astrid Lindgren Children'sHospital is the largest paediatric hospital in Sweden and has about 2200 employees and is a part of the Karolinska University Hospital. It has 10 medical wards, 2 A&Es and 1 ICU unit. Yearly, they together have 180,000 patient visits. Karolinska Insitutet is a one of the world's leading medical universities and home of the Nobel Prize committé.
Abo Akademi
Abo Akademi researchers have expertise in psychology and will contribute to the project through research on psychological health at the individual level.
Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU) is an internationally renowned research university with an extensive responsibility for preserving the Swedish educational and cultural heritage. As the only Swedish-speaking university in Finland, ÅAU serves as a bridge for collaboration in research and education between Finland and other Nordic states. ÅAU employs 1,200 staff and provides high quality education to 5,500 students and 780 postgraduate students. The number of scientific publications averages 1,500 annually. ÅAU is represented in the project by Experience Lab and the department of developmental psychology, both part of the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies. Experience Lab is a cross-disciplinary research and development platform. The lab contributes with expertise in human/user centered design (HCD/UCD) of digital interfaces, solutions and content, including user experience measurement and design, user research and method development in order to understand the meeting between humans and digital technology and create better solution based on that understanding. This field also encompasses process design, co-creation, and software development. We have a long case list of projects both within research, development, and straight business, in regional, national and international settings. The department of developmental psychology will contribute with expertise in quantitative methods and has previously led research projects on resilience among workers in educational contexts, using intensive longitudinal data.
Vilnius University
VU Life Sciences Institute researchers will contribute to the project by conducting research on individual factors affecting physical and mental health and resilience.
Vilnius University (VU) was founded in 1579. VU is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Eastern and Central Europe and the largest university in Lithuania involved in multidisciplinary academic activity. During more than four centuries of its existence VU grew into the leading university in the country in a broad spectrum of fundamental and applied research, education, training and retraining, consultancy, providing research and development services to a wide range of businesses. In 2022 VU was ranked #400 by the QS World UniversityRankings. VU has 15 academic units, the earliest academic Library in the Baltics, the Astronomical Observatory, the Botanical Garden, 2 University Hospitals. Research and teaching in the University is carried out by more than 3000 academic staff. In 2022 VU had 23 500 students, among which about 800 doctoral candidates and 825 MDs in residency. VU participates in numerous academic, business, social and other networks and associations and is involved in international initiatives and clusters, which are crucial to R&D activities, opening up opportunities for multilateral collaboration, new initiatives and community involvement in and for society. What is more, VU is a bilateral partner of many universities all around the world and these partnerships pave the way for academic cooperation in a different research and study fields. The University also has an extensive track record of participation in EU Framework Programmes, including Horizon Europe, and numerous other national and international projects.
Trinity College Dublin
TDC brings experience in the area of health systems strengthening, with a particular focus on applying systems thinking for the strengthening of human resources for health in low-resource contexts.

Within Trinity College Dublin, the co-investigators on this project are Drs Frédérique Vallières and Kristin Hadfield, based in the Trinity Centre for Global Health (TCGH). Established in 2004, the TCGH is an interdisciplinary centre co-located across the Schools of Medicine and Psychology. Comprised of a committed team of multidisciplinary academic, adjunct, and administrative staff, research fellows and assistants, and postgraduate students, the TCGH’s vision is to generate impactful knowledge through high quality, multidisciplinary research and teaching, while contributing to a world in which the health and wellbeing of all at all ages is realised.
The TCGH strives to achieve this vision through two overarching goals: (i) To conduct multidisciplinary and collaborative research, emphasising a gender-transformative approach to global health while prioritising knowledge transfer and evidence-to-policy-and-practice partnerships, and (ii) To provide students with high-quality, multidisciplinary, post-graduate programmes that build their capacity to contribute to the promotion and delivery of equitable health systems in their countries of origin and globally, while supporting every student to impact upon the international programme for sustainable development, 2030.

Eötvös Loránd University
ELTE researchers are AI experts and will contribute to the development of a scenario analysis AI tool in theproject. They will also support other researchers in their data analysis, having expertise in data science.
Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is Hungary’s most prestigious university with the richest traditions and the highest international and national rankings in the country, where tradition and innovation go hand-in-hand. ELTE is a public university and registered in Hungary. With more than 3.000 students, 5 double degree master’s programmes and an EIT Digital Doctoral Training Centre ELTE Faculty of Informatics plays a leading role in research and education of computer science in Hungary. Our study programs and research activities focus on Software Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Autonomous Systems, Mathematical Modeling, and Fintech. Massachusetts General Hospital
Mass General Hospital is one of our hospital involved in our field studies, bringing the US context to our project. MGH will also contribute to both our research on organizational resilience and will provide access to US respondents.

Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montpellier
CHUM is one of our hospitals and will contribute through data collection in the hospital and preparation of training program.
The University Hospital of Montpellier, CHU de Montpellier, is the oldest medical faculty in Europe, part of the University of Montpellier. It has been rated the 6th best hospital in France. It employs about 11,000 people and is the biggest employer in the region. There are 14 medical activity departments and very substantial research activity. The fundamental missions of the University Hospital Center of Montpellier are care, teaching and research, but also prevention, health education and the fight against social exclusion.
Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nimes
CHUN is another of our hospitals. CHUN researchers have expertise in cost effectiveness assessment and value creation in healthcare and they will contribute to this project from this perspective. Also, CHUN will be responsible for data collection in the hospital and will help prepare the training program.
CHUN is the leading hospital of the Nimes region in France. As a university hospital, its core missions are care, teaching, and research. CHUN has more than 2,000 beds, and has provided in 2017 375,000 consultations, 129,000 hospitalizations, and 20,000 surgical interventions.

Innotrope will ensure the smooth dissemination, exploitation, and communication of the project.
Innotrope SAS (InnoT) is an innovation management consulting company specialized in EU research and innovation projects. Its services range from grant writing to project management, dissemination, exploitation, and communication. InnoT has a specific focus on health projects, being the coordinator of a Horizon Europe RIA on digital health with Africa (project Didida).
